Christmas Card Competition
2016

We have been invited to submit some of our paintings for selection as Christmas Cards to be sold by Cards for Charity – the organisation
which runs the Charity Christmas Card Sale in the Town Hall every December.

Here are the details you need to know at this stage.

1.   Paintings will be of Tewkesbury, with some snow, but not featuring predominantly, the Abbey!   The TAS committee will select about 5
entries for the CfC(Cards for Charity) to choose from.

2.   We will turn the selected pictures into JPEGS (300dpi) and the printer will crop them to fit one of the following card sizes

i.  121 x 171mm

ii.  121 x 228mm

NOTE Your paintings don’t have to be this size!! But bear in mind the shape and proportions of the eventual card.

3.   The painter of the winning picture will retain the picture and the copyright, and receive 5 packs (of 10 cards) as prize.

4.    Details of the Society’s involvement and the Card painter’s name and other details will be printed on the back of the card.

PAINTINGS MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR JUDGING BY US ON THE 29th MARCH 2016 – NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED – THE TAS COMMITTEE WILL SELECT 5 AND SUBMIT  THEM TO THE CfC FOR THEIR FINAL CHOICE
